Pop Art by Greg Gosssel
930 Hennepin Avenue | Completed in 2015
Prince’s song lyric is just one unique yet timeless aspect of a mural that pays tribute to the many artists who have influenced Hennepin Avenue over the years.
Minnesota’s Greg Gossel created the pop art mural displayed on the building that was the former home of the National Camera Exchange. Gossel’s work is inspired by old comic book art, LGBTQIA+ history, magazines, and coloring books.
The mural was commissioned by American Express as part of its Small Business Saturday® Street Art project and brought to life with the help of Hennepin Arts.
