Curry's portrayal of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show and the 1975 film adaptation The Rocky Horror Picture Show became one of his signature performances. With outrageous confidence and a larger-than-life presence, Frank-N-Furter cemented Curry as an icon of cult cinema and musical theater.
Curry accumulated more than 240 credits across film, television and stage – including three Tony Award nominations, appearing in beloved movies including Annie, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and Muppet Treasure Island. And this October, another one of his most beloved performances comes to life onstage.
Clue will take over the historic Orpheum Theatre Oct. 5 for only five performances, bringing the hilarious mystery based on the 1985 Paramount film to the stage. Curry played the quick-witted and increasingly frantic Wadsworth, delivering the physical comedy and rapid-fire humor that helped make the movie a fan favorite.
