Nicollet Mall closure

Downtown Minneapolis will be extra festive tonight as the Minneapolis Aquatennial Torchlight Parade takes place along Nicollet Mall. Guests attending Wicked may experience heavier-than-usual traffic and parking near the Orpheum Theatre due to Nicollet Mall closure from 4th to 12th Streets.

We recommend allowing a little extra time for travel, parking and entry so you can relax and enjoy the show.

Detailed street closure information:

Nicollet Mall: Closed from 4th to 12th Streets beginning early Wednesday evening.

Cross Streets: Several intersections across Nicollet Mall (such as 12th, 11th, 9th, 8th, 4th and 3rd) will have temporary closures. Other streets like 10th, 7th, 6th and 5th will remain open for cross-traffic with temporary control.

Pre-Parade Staging: Expect lane closures on First Avenue South and East Grant Street starting earlier in the afternoon for parade staging.
