The Best Buy Gallery continues our look at the Minneapolis music scene of the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. On display are enlarged reproductions of Daniel Corrigan’s photographs from the book Heyday: 35 years of Music in Minneapolis.
Included are iconic photos of Prince during the filming of Purple Rain, Steve McClellan the longtime manager of First Avenue & 7th St. Entry and Daniel Corrigan as pictured on the back cover of his book. Also seen are a slideshow of original poster art circa 2000-2010 from the Hennepin County Library archives, a listening and viewing alcove for the Rick Fuller documentary film First Avenue Hayday: 1985-1992 and an original First Avenue & 7th St. Entry wall of stars by Nathan Meyer.
