About Derek Hough – Symphony of Dance: Encore
Derek Hough is the most nominated male choreographer in Emmy Awards history. His prolific career as a dancer includes appearances in TV, film and stage productions such as NBC’s Hairspray Live! and Disney’s High School Musical The Musical: The Series. Hough began dancing at the age of 11 in his hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah, before moving to London with sister Julianne Hough, who has joined him on sold-out tours. Derek Hough then gained notoriety as a dancer on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, partnering with celebrities and earning a record-breaking six mirror ball trophies. In 2019, Hough, who is also a New York Times bestselling author, completed his first nationwide solo tour.
