Longtime Hennepin Arts donors Brian and Jeriann Jones know firsthand the lasting impact of arts education. For more than a decade, their family has been deeply connected to the Spotlight Education program at Hennepin Arts.
Over the years, the Jones family watched their daughters, Kajsa, Mara and Tegan, grow through the confidence, creativity, and community the program provides. The girls participated in educational master classes, school show evaluation, the featured dancer program and the Triple Threat select track.
After high school, their daughter Tegan, continued to work with Spotlight Showcase each summer in various production staff roles, and after ten years, now serves as the Associate Director of Spotlight Showcase. Kajsa and Mara who also participated as performers during their high school years, have since gone on to direct and props design multiple Spotlight productions (respectively).
All three girls have grown from "Spotlight Kids" to guiding and inspiring the next generation of student performers across Minnesota. As valued donors and advocates for Hennepin Arts, the Jones family continues to invest in a future where every student has the chance to shine both on stage and beyond.
Thank you to the Jones family for supporting Spotlight and creating opportunities for young people to discover their voice and experience the transformative power of the arts.
