Hennepin Arts is making a long-term investment in Minnesota’s creative future by integrating InspireMSP into its education and workforce development programs beginning in 2026.
The nationally recognized program connects middle and high school students to real-world creative careers through immersive, hands-on experiences. As a Hennepin Arts program, InspireMSP expands the organization’s education strategy—strengthening early career pathways while reinforcing Hennepin Arts’ role as a contributor to Minnesota’s creative economy.
InspireMSP introduces students to a wide range of creative industries by bringing learning out of traditional settings and into professional environments. Through site visits, career exploration days and direct engagement with working professionals, students gain firsthand exposure to fields including design, media, music, architecture, fashion, advertising, technology and the performing arts.
What sets InspireMSP apart is its focus on reaching students early—before career paths narrow and while curiosity and confidence are still forming. By helping students understand how their interests and creativity connect to real careers, the program opens doors for young people who may not otherwise see themselves represented in creative industries.
By integrating InspireMSP, Hennepin Arts strengthens its growing ecosystem of education programs that already serve thousands of students statewide. Alongside Spotlight Education, Critical Review and Disney Musicals in Schools, InspireMSP completes a continuum that supports students as learners, artists and future professionals.
This investment reflects Hennepin Arts’ commitment to long-term planning, bold partnerships and innovative approaches that extend beyond the stage. By investing in students, school partnerships and industry connections, Hennepin Arts is helping build a more inclusive, resilient and future-ready creative workforce for Minnesota.
