Hennepin Arts partners with RBC Wealth Management to strengthen arts and community

September 22, 2025

Hennepin Arts is excited to announce a new partnership with RBC Wealth Management, naming the company the Official Wealth Management Partner of Hennepin Arts. As part of this collaboration, RBC has also secured naming rights to the mezzanine levels of the historic Orpheum, State, and Pantages theatres — a first in the history of these iconic venues.

“We're proud to support Hennepin Arts, reflecting our commitment to the vibrant downtown Minneapolis community and our longstanding presence here," said Michael Armstrong, CEO, RBC Wealth Management – U.S. "Our U.S. headquarters at RBC Gateway is just steps from the Hennepin Theatre District and we're excited to continue investing in the cultural richness of the city where so many of our employees and clients live and work."

This partnership reflects a shared belief in the role the arts play in creating vibrant communities. Each year, more than 600,000 visitors experience Broadway, concerts, comedy, and community programming in the Hennepin Theatre District. By supporting these historic stages, RBC is helping to ensure that live performance continues to inspire Minnesotans and contribute to the economic vitality of downtown Minneapolis.

“At Hennepin Arts, we’re thrilled to grow our relationship with RBC into a robust collaboration that brings brighter, braver, bolder experiences to our audiences,” said Todd Duesing, President & CEO of Hennepin Arts. “With community-minded partners like RBC Wealth Management, our historic theatres will continue to light up Hennepin Avenue for generations to come.”

RBC Wealth Management’s roots in the Twin Cities go back to 1909, and with more than 1,700 employees based downtown, the company has long been a cornerstone of the Minneapolis community. Their U.S. headquarters at RBC Gateway sits just steps from the theatre district, making this partnership a natural fit. From Broadway premieres like Purple Rain to local community events, RBC’s support helps expand access to arts experiences and nurture a new generation of theater lovers.

"We share Hennepin Arts' belief that the arts have the power to inspire, educate and bring people together," said Angie O'Leary, Head of Wealth Strategies and Solutions, RBC Wealth Management – U.S. "We look forward to connecting with those who appreciate the thriving theater and music scenes in the Twin Cities, and nurture a new generation of arts lovers."
